Playa Music lessons has proudly held the title of the best music school for seven consecutive years, earning the trust of families through quality music education, experienced teachers, and a strong commitment to student success.

We provide music lessons for children, teens, and adults at our studios in Playa del Rey and Tarzana, with private, joint, and group lesson options designed to meet different learning styles, goals, and skill levels. Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the first time, developing their musical skills, or preparing for an examination or performance, our teachers provide personalized instruction in a supportive and encouraging environment.

At Playa Music Lessons, students can explore a variety of musical styles, from classical to pop and jazz. Our programs are designed to help students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

We offer instruction in a variety of instruments and provide flexible lesson formats, including private music lessons, joint lessons, and group classes. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s experience, interests, and individual goals.

We are proud of the achievements of our students in recognized music examinations, including the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and Certificate of Merit (CM) programs. Many of our students prepare for and successfully complete these examinations, gaining valuable experience in musicianship, performance, and musical theory.

For students interested in performing, we also provide regular opportunities to share their progress and talents. Our student recitals are held throughout the year at our Playa del Rey and Tarzana locations, as well as online through Zoom, giving students meaningful opportunities to perform in front of family, friends, and a supportive audience.

Beyond weekly lessons, Playa Music Lessons offers special events and programs that encourage students to experience music beyond the classroom. Our annual International Piano Festival gives students opportunities to participate in masterclasses, workshops, and performances with accomplished musicians from around the world.

These experiences help students gain confidence, connect with other musicians, and develop a deeper appreciation for the art of music.
