Joshua Gomez

Joshua Gomez

Josh teaches voice, guitar, piano, bass, music theory, and music production, and he’s been helping students grow as musicians for the past three years. While he’s skilled in many instruments, he has a special love for teaching voice. For TeacherJosh, helping students gain self-confidence through singing is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. He also enjoys dissecting songs on guitar or bass with his students to deepen their understanding of music and spark their creativity.

A graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Songwriting and Production. He’s also Logic Pro and Pro Tools certified, giving him the tools to help students and artists bring their ideas to life in the studio. Over the past seven years, he’s performed in multiple bands across Orlando, Florida, and Los Angeles, gaining extensive experience in performance, improvisation, and live music event planning.

Josh’s professional music career spans many genres , from hard rock, deathcore, and rap to R&B, pop, and Latin styles. He’s performed bass, guitar, keys, and vocals in bands, arranged music for orchestras and jazz ensembles, and even created music for reality shows. He currently plays in three bands, including his solo orchestral hard rock project, a rap/R&B/rock group, and an indie rock band. One of his recent highlights was performing for the Reino360 Latin worship conference in Florida in front of 800 people.

When it comes to teaching, Josh leads with empathy and connection. He gets to know each student’s goals first, then tailors his lessons to give them exactly what they need — no fluff. His top advice? “Create a realistic practice routine”. Practicing too much all at once can lead to burnout; steady, manageable practice builds lasting skills.

Outside of music, Josh is a huge wrestling fan! Wrestling music inspires him more than many other forms of contemporary music! He’s also a dedicated Orlando Magic supporter, and a gamer who enjoys connecting with students over shared hobbies.
His lessons are a space where students can feel understood, inspired, and ready to grow, both as musicians and as confident performers
