Hank

Hank

Hank teaches drums, piano, guitar, and music theory, and he’s been helping students grow for over three years. His musical journey started early, he began playing piano at just five years old and quickly fell in love with music. Over time, he added drums and guitar to his skill set and discovered a passion for sharing what he knows with others. He enjoys teaching all his instruments and loves helping students reach their personal music goals.

Hank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drum Performance from Musicians Institute. Alongside teaching, he’s built a strong career as a live and studio musician. He’s toured, played live shows for years, performs in multiple bands, and also works as a session player for both stage and studio projects. His bands include Thrown Into Exile, Avidious, Against The Sun, Dead Marble, and Joshua Gomez.

In lessons, Hank focuses on making learning fun and interactive. He’s patient and understands that every student learns at their own pace. He works with students from age 7 through adults, teaching all skill levels on drums and piano, and up to intermediate level on guitar. His goal is always to keep students motivated while building solid technique and confidence.

Hank’s advice for practicing at home is simple: warm up, follow the homework, and never forget to play songs you actually enjoy. Technique matters, but keeping music fun is what keeps students coming back and improving every week.

Fun fact about Hank — he absolutely loves corgis and thinks they’re the cutest dogs ever. Outside of music, he stays active by playing basketball and working out at the gym, which helps keep both his mind and body ready for performing and teaching.

Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the first time or leveling up their skills, Hank brings energy, patience, and real-world experience into every lesson.
