
William Gherman
William Gherman is a composer and sound designer for concert music, films, video games and theater. He studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Helen Grime and Tansy Davies. William’s work has been performed by Ensemble Renard, Whitman Ensemble, Manson Ensemble and others. His music has been featured in films such as “The Web of It” directed by Nick Cohen at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, “Who Makes Marylebone?” produced by Chocolate Films and “Who Puts a Fishbowl Here?” which won best animated short at the Istanbul International Film Festival 2022. His most recent projects include sound design for the Brød Games team, and music and sound design for Stellcat Studios.
William has been teaching piano, clarinet, saxophone, music theory and composition since 2018. His students have had many successes performing, achieving rewards such as the Duke of Edinburgh awards in the UK, and all students who have taken ABRSM exams for their qualifications have passed, many with marks of Merit or Distinction.
William’s music lessons are engaging as well as informative, whether you are improving your technique or just picking up a couple new songs He creates a comfortable and encouraging environment, making it easy for students to explore their creativity while building solid musical skills.
